Waterways around the Strait of Georgia, British Columbia

Departing from Campbell River we went north to as far as Northern Harbor.  This was north of the 50 degree parallel, below which lies all of the continental U.S. and nearly all of Newfoundland.  Even during the first week of June, at this northern location it didn't become fully dark until 11.30pm and at 4am the birds began waking up and singing.

Of note below is Cordero Lodge, a remote wilderness lodge and delightful German restaurant.  http://www.corderolodge.com/  After steaming north for several days in the rain and cold you'll think you've found a little slice of paradise.
