"Good.jpg" is from a Home Depot garbage bag holder-opener.  It has good structural integrity but you'll still need velco to keep the inner coil snapped out against the outter.  About $8

"Better.jpg" is from a Wal-Mart camping pad.  Great thermal insulation and good structural integrity but bulky and floppy.  About $5

"Best.jpg" is from Reflectix - The Mother of All Dew Shield Materials.  Aluminized bubble wrap (like what you'd shield your car interior with on a hot day), this stuff is incredible.  It is ultra-lightweight, it lies perfectly flat yet rolls up into a cylinder, maintains its structural integrity, and has an amazing 97% reflectivity rating.  I wrapped some around my hand for about 10 seconds and my hand got very warm.  I've not field tested it yet, but others who use it swear by it as the best material ever.  I can see why without even having used it yet.  About $25 or so at Home Depot/Lowes will get you enough for a half dozen or so shields.  I painted mine ultra flat black - several light coats.  The paint took well; we'll see how it lasts.
