MASP 2005

Images taken with Meade DSI (no IR filter, the cheap thing broke), 8" LX200GPS UHTC, crude, minimal processing with Autostar Image Processing and Pleides PixInsight.  Exposure times between 15 and 60 seconds with typically a 10 minute total combine.  Taken 11/2/05 - 11/6/06.

More to be posted, including Mars through the Portaball, Orion & the ring.  Special thanks to Michael Fulbright, a MASP'er who really helped jump start my introduction to CCD imaging.

Nov 16, '05 - slowly taking a second pass to try to improve initial results.  Currently have M108, M109, M82 & NGC891 reworked a bit.  I may revisit them in the future but for now they'll remain like this.

Nov 20, '05 - bought Photoshop CS2 and downloaded a MaximDL trial.  Processed Horsehead via Fits3P->TIFF conversion utility then balanced & curved in Photoshop.  Worked on M15 with MaximDL - the best results by far, and the fastest, with this cluster.  (M15 was imaged off my deck and shouldn't be in this group which otherwise were all taken at masp)
